John Dilling Promoted to Chief Financial Officer at Alliance Steel Family of Companies.
Gary, IN, December 19, 2025: The Alliance Steel Family of Companies is pleased to announce the promotion of 
John Dilling, CPA, to Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective December 19, 2025.
Dilling brings more than 30 years of experience in finance, accounting, and operational leadership to the CFO role. He joined the Alliance Steel Family of Companies in July 2023 as Director of Financial Accounting, where he has overseen finance, accounting, and human resources functions across the organization’s steel processing, fabrication, and structural tubing businesses.
In his new role as CFO, Dilling will continue to lead the company’s financial strategy, reporting, compliance, and long-term planning initiatives, while partnering closely with executive leadership to support operational excellence, disciplined growth, and sustained profitability.
Dilling states, “I’m honored to step into the role of Chief Financial Officer and grateful for the confidence of our ownership and leadership team. Having worked closely with our operations for several years, I look forward to continuing to support disciplined growth, strategic investment, and long-term stability for the company.”
Dilling is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He holds a double major in Accounting and Business Administration, with a minor in Mathematics, from Grace College, and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
